Carolina Henriquez is an Associate Attorney with DeMicco and Associates Attorneys at Law, where she focuses her practice on workers’ compensation matters throughout Florida. She works closely with clients and colleagues to navigate complex legal issues, providing thoughtful analysis, strategic advocacy, and responsive client service.
Prior to joining DeMicco and Associates Attorneys at Law, Carolina practiced immigration and administrative law, representing clients before federal agencies and administrative bodies. Through this experience, she developed a strong foundation in statutory interpretation, legal research, evidentiary analysis, and administrative advocacy—skills that translate naturally to the complexities of Florida workers’ compensation law.
Carolina is recognized for her analytical approach to legal problem-solving and her attention to detail. She assists clients in navigating challenging legal and regulatory issues while working to provide practical solutions and effective representation. Her experience includes legal research, motion practice, case analysis, legal writing, and advocacy in administrative proceedings.
A dedicated scholar and accomplished legal writer, Carolina earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law, graduating in the top six percent of her class. During law school, she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar, consistently earned Dean’s List honors, and received two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards. She was also actively involved in the Moot Court Board of Appellate Advocates and the Carlos A. Costa Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, where she received the Outstanding Contributions Award.
While attending law school, Carolina completed a legal internship with the United States Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Miami Field Office. There, she prepared appellate briefs for the Board of Immigration Appeals involving agency determinations, petition denials, and fraud-related findings, further strengthening her legal writing and appellate advocacy skills.
Carolina earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health, cum laude, from the University of South Florida. Her background in public health, combined with her legal training and administrative law experience, provides a unique perspective when evaluating complex issues affecting clients and their cases.
Fluent in Spanish, Carolina is able to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients throughout Florida.
When she is not practicing law, Carolina enjoys reading, traveling, spending time outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
