Amy Lynn Sumacewski is a Partner at DeMicco & Associates and an experienced Florida trial attorney whose practice focuses on Workers’ Compensation, Family Law, and Civil Litigation. Since her admission to The Florida Bar in 2006, she has represented clients in a wide range of complex legal matters, providing strategic counsel and advocacy through every stage of litigation.
Drawing upon more than three decades of combined legal experience, Amy has built a reputation for thorough preparation, practical problem-solving, and dedicated client service. Her background includes experience in Circuit Court, the Division of Administrative Hearings, appellate courts, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. A seasoned trial attorney, she has actively tried cases in both Circuit Court and before the Division of Administrative Hearings, while also handling appellate matters both independently and in collaboration with outside appellate counsel.
Since joining DeMicco & Associates in September 2020, Amy has continued to expand her litigation practice, serving as lead counsel on Workers’ Compensation defense matters since 2024 and earning promotion to Partner in 2025. Her appellate experience includes the successful appeal in Matteis v. Matteis, No. 4D10-1509 (Fla. App. 2011). Throughout her career, she has remained committed to providing thoughtful legal counsel and effective advocacy tailored to the unique circumstances of each client.
